Read an article about living in space. Complete each sentence with ONE WORD.

Living in space

Living in space is not the same as living on Earth. Many things are different. Let’s learn about how astronauts stay strong and clean, and keep everything tidy.

Staying strong

In space, there is no gravity, so astronauts float and don’t use their legs much. This is bad for the astronauts’ bodies. So how do they stay strong in space? They exercise every day, or they get very weak.

Staying clean

Like people on Earth, astronauts need to stay clean, too. Astronauts don’t have a bathroom like the ones we have on Earth. Also, the way they take a bath is different in space. They use special kinds of soap and shampoo that don’t use water. Astronauts need to use them carefully so that the bubbles don’t go all over the place. After washing, they use a towel to dry.

Keeping tidy

Housework is not always fun, but astronauts have to keep their area tidy in space. They have to clean the walls, floors, and windows and take out the garbage just like we do on Earth.
