Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C, or D on your answer sheet to indicate the correct answer to cach of the following questions.

As a teenager, I know things haven't exactly been smooth sailing at home lately. It's probably because, well, I'm a teenager now. We all argue with our parents, and I think it's safe to say they do the same about us. I wish we could just talk things out instead of arguing. That would be so much better for everyone.

I've been doing a lot of reading to try and understand what's going on in my own head. There's a lot of science behind why teenagers act the way we do. For instance, our bodies are wired differently than adults. That's why mornings are a struggle we naturally want to sleep in Parents just don't seem to get that.

Another thing parents harp on about is tidiness. Look, I'll admit I'm messy sometimes, but it's because our brains are still developing. This fancy science term, myelin, is what helps us plan and organise, and it takes time to fully develop. So cut us some slack!

Teenagers can get pretty emotional, and that can lead to argument with parents. But if they could just try to understand what's going on in our heads, things would be a lot smoother. There's usually a reason behind why we don't want to do something, and instead of yelling, parents should try to listen.

Communication is key. We teens still need to spend time with our parents, but the things we liked to talk about when we were younger just don't cut it anymore. Parents need to realise that we're growing up and finding ourselves, and that doesn't mean we love them any less. We just need more space.

Here's a tip: car rides are a great place to have difficult conversations. There's less pressure because you're not staring each other down. Trust me, it works!
