Many people think that a whale is a type of fish. Although a whale is not a fish at all, whales and fish are much alike in many ways. Like fish, whales live in the water. Both whales and fish have fins to swim. Whales often stay together in groups, which are known as pods. Many kinds of fish also stay together in groups, which are called schools.
