Read Tina's blog post about her family's trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Write T (right), F (wrong) orNI (doesn't say).
I learned about natural wonders in school today, and luckily, I had the chance to visit one of these wonderslast summer - the Great Barrier Reef.
The Great Barrier Reef is located off the coast of Queensland, Australia. It is home to the world's largest coralsystem, which spans over 2,300 kilometres. These amazing coral formations can be seen both above and belowthe sea. Because a helicopter tour was too expensive for us, we took a boat tour to take in the breathtakingviews. The scenery was so stunning, and we couldn't resist taking countless photos.
During our visit, we had the chance to explore this fascinating natural wonder by taking part in a variety ofactivities, including snorkelling, scuba diving, swimming, and water rafting. It was interesting to learn thatcorals are not plants but rather animals! The Great Barrier Reef is an enchanting world full of over 1,500species of fish and 400 species of corals, each with a stunning array of colours, shapes, and sizes.
With its bright sun, golden beaches, and thriving coral reef ecosystems, this extraordinary place is one of themost beautiful destinations for visitors. Our trip was fantastic and left us with priceless memories; I can't stoptelling my friends about it. If you ever get the chance to visit, remember to bring your aquatic gear so you canparticipate in water-based activities.
