The best time to visit the island is from the middle of September to the beginning of October, when a great number of salmon come back to the rivers in the rainforest to lay eggs. It's also the time when the spirit bears show up at the streams to catch the fish. It rains almost every day, so tourists should bring raincoats and get ready to be amazed by the wildlife there.
