1. Applicants are required to take the National Entrance Examinations before being admitted to higher education institutions. Students are required to complete the following steps when applying for admission as a first-time freshmen student:1. An application for admission must be completed. Application can be obtained from the institution’s admissions office. An application fee must be included.2. Official high school transcripts must be sent to the institution’s admissions office before the deadline. An official GED Certificate may be used in the absence of a high school diplom a.3. The scores on either the SAT or the ACT must be submitted. Colleges and universities use these score to help predict a student’s future success in higher education. High school students usually take these examinations in their junior year or early in their senior year.

Vietnamese students who have an excellent high school diploma will have the advantage over the other students.
