For many young people it is hard to find the sort ofjob they aspire to. This is in part due to a mismatch
between what education provides and what employers believe they require.

Schools and universities should offer students courseswhich provide them with qualifications which willattract potential employers. However, employers oftencomplain that courses are too theoretical and do notteach students the practical skills they will need inthe workplace.

While I understand this viewpoint, I do not entirelyshare it. of university course and career. Although I believethis helps to focus students’ minds on what workinglife will be like, generally speaking it is not possiblefor students to get a wide enough range of experience
