Giant Pandas are black and white bears. In the wild, they are found in forests, high up in the mountains of China.

Giant Pandas mostly eat bamboo. Bamboo is a type of woody grass.

The Panda likes to eat a lot. It can eat for more than 12 hours. Giant Pandas grow up to 1.5 high. In Zoos, Giant Pandas can live for up to 30 years. 

When baby Pandas are born, they are pink and about the size of a pencil.

Baby Pandas are born blind and only open their eyes six weeks after being born.

Mum Pandas give birth to one or two babies every two years. Babies stay with their mum for almost two years before going out on their own.

There are only 1000 Pandas that remain in the wild. That’s why we do all we can do to protect them!
