Hi Sammy, I had an amazing time last night at Sondheim Theatre. It has been more than a year since theatres had to close their doors to help stop the spread of coronavirus. Therefore, I was really excited. We saw the musical Les Miserables. The theatre was completely full. My mother had bought the tickets three weeks in advance, so we got good seats. When we arrived, we had our temperature checked and were asked to wear face masks at all times inside the theatre. The show was magnificent – from the opening moments of the show to the final songs. I couldn’t take my eyes off the stage. I was particularly impressed by the male lead singer. His voice was amazingly powerful. And at the end of the show, everyone stood up and clapped and cheered for five minutes. I love going out to the theatre and I enjoy all types of shows, from comedy to tragedy and musicals. It’s brilliant being part of an audience. You can feel the atmosphere and see how different people react to what’s on the stage.
